I’ve been debating about creating this blog for a long time. Here’s the deal: I’m a busy person. I work two part-time jobs that total up to about 46 hours a week, plus I am taking graduate classes online for my master’s in library science. I also make nice things that I sell on Etsy. On top of that, I have another blog where I document things that I make (including nummy vegan meals). This year also marks my fourth attempt at Project 365, taking a photo every day (and processing them and uploading them relatively on time). Oh, and I am married and have a house, so there’s all the things that go along with that.
But when it came down to it, I really wanted to start this blog. I read a lot of books in my copious spare time, and I document them for myself on paper. The thing is, I love sharing what I read, but I don’t want to have to register on some website to do it or require other people to register on said website to see it. Thus, the blog.
My intent is to let you all (all maybe two of you) see what I’m reading, get updated on books that I’m interested in, read reviews on books I’ve read, and share books that you are reading as well. I work in a public library, so I will probably also comment on books that we have received to put on the shelf, or odd occurrences that happen during the work day–those are always entertaining.
My hope is that, despite all the things that are happening in my life, I will be able to keep up with this and update it at least weekly. If I fall behind, somebody out there should let me know so that I can be held accountable. Because I really want to do this. And if I’m reading anyway, I may as well let people in on it.
