The Stephen King Saga

Stephen King has definitely earned the title “Master of Horror” over several decades of publishing works that excite, disturb, and enlighten. Yes, you read that right. When I read King’s novels as a youngin’ (Pet Sematary, when I was about 10, was first — take that as you will), I chose them because they were frightening and they made me see the world in new ways. As an adult, I return to King’s books because the man is one heck of a storyteller. So many of his novels are not simply about horrifying the reader; they are about asking questions in life and maybe not getting any answers, about good versus evil and how we should really try to choose good as much as possible.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to take on the task of reading all of King’s fiction, in the order suggested at Ramblings of a Honk Mahfah (that term will make sense if you’ve read The Dark Tower series). But I’m not one to stop there — I will then continue to read through the King canon in the order of publication. I’ll also attempt to write about the films based on King’s works (and there are plenty of those too).

Without further ado, here is the list (the first 25 from the honk mahfah above). As posts are written, I will link them here:
